Yaamon

Here is the in-training form of Impmon. I enjoyed making this one, especially the ears.

Abbreviations

stst = Stockinette stitch. Knit being the right side and Purl being the wrong side.

Kfb = Knit front and back into a stitch to increase.

K2tog or P2tog = Knit or Purl 2 stitches together to decrease

B and T = break of yarn leaving a long end and thread through sts left on the knitting needle and pull tight to close the hole then fasten off

If knitting in the round divide the stitches equally among the needles and when it says to Purl a row Knit instead. Stuff as you go.

Sew up the back seam stopping about 2 inches from the bottom to stuff , just before you finish sewing up put more stuffing in the bottom to make it rounder.

Cast Off
Sew up the back seam then stuff, pin in place on top of head to get position right then sew the Cast off edge to the head. Bend the tops slightly to form the ear bends.

Face

Using light brown felt cut out the face. I found putting pins in place on the head and drawing on a piece of paper to map out the face to get it to the right size helpful, I then pinned the paper template on to the felt to cut round. Do the same with the Eyes using white for the eyeball and green for the iris. Pin the iris's on to the eyeball's and then sew on using a matching green thread. Then pin the completed eyes on to the face and sew on using white thread. Pin the face on to the head using the pins you used to map out the face and then sew on using a matching brown thread.

Pecha Berry

For the May KAL at Pokemon Amigurumi on Ravelry. This months theme was pink and blue. I was starting to run out of time as I have been trying to knit a cardigan for my niece. So decided to knit something small. I have tried many times to start making the berries but never got the time. Pecha berry is the one berry that I had used the most in the games so decided it should be the first to be made.

In light pink cast on 2 stitches

Repeat these 2 rows 3 more times then change to dark pink

K2tog,k5 and turn, leaving remaining 7 sts on needle

Cast off 4 sts, cut a long length of thread and weave through back of work and reattach to other side (where you left off after turning)

Pin the 2 sides together wrong sides together and mattress stitch together, leave the top open to stuff then finish sewing up.

Random facts about myself:
1. I have a Jack Russel/ Pug called Penny. The official name for her breed is Jug or Jack in the Pug
2. I hate dresses but wore one for my wedding, I wanted to wear a nice suit but my husband didn't feel he had the legs for the dress. :P
3. My mum used to tell me big lies to stop me from doing things. E.g. If I climb a tree I would fall out and a branch would rip my internal organs out. Needless to say I was a tad warped.
4. My Nan is my biggest fan. I show her all my creations, even if shes not sure what it is. Explaining Pokemon to a women over 70 is hard.
5. I prefer savoury things to sweet things. I have been known to eat a whole tube of Pringles but can't manage more then a few squares of chocolate.

Kiimon

 Kiimon is the Fresh form of Impmon. He started out being the in-training form Yaamon but his body was to small so I made him into Kiimon instead. Yaamon's pattern should be finished soon to. Then I have some other Digimon patterns in the works to finish as well as getting ready for next months Pokemon KAL/CAL.

To make up place two ear pieces together and mattress stitch together. Stuff lightly and then pin to the top of the head.

I-cord= Knitted on Dpn's. cast on stst then knit as normal, instead of turning to purl, push the stitches to the end of the dpn and knit again pulling the wool behind the stitches. After doing this for a few rows you will see the cord appearing, pull the cord to tighten the stitches.

Pin to the bottom of the body starting under the base of the head all the way down to the tail. The decreases should match up with the ones on the body to make the lining up easier. Then stitch into place.

Make the eye's and Circles from felt or embroider on.

New Pattern.

I have finished my Caterpie pattern so expect the pattern within the next day or so. Very proud of this one :)
